Macro Photography is one of my passions that is more a hobby than something I do as work. However I do spend allot of time trying to incorporate macro or close-up photography into my product photography workflow. As you can see by the gallery I have some photos in my product work that would be considered macro and I truly enjoy taking them. It is my unique creative side to taking photos. Showing the smallest of details is fun and hard work. While I enjoy it allot sometimes trying to get the lighting just right can take hours to complete but is usually worth it for the final product. It also helps when photographing smaller products as I can make full size prints out of something that you normally wouldn’t be able to. Some of my cartridge head-stamp photos are a just a 1/2″ in diameter but can be blown up to large prints.
