Tikka T3X/T1X Arca Lite Rail Review

If you run a Tikka T3X/T1X, you’re in luck. Mountain Tactical has produced what might be the best Arca-Swiss rail for a factory Tikka stock. The genius behind this all is simply using the existing Tikka hardware and making it better. The T3X has optional beavertail forends that you can add or take off of your rifle stock, designing the stock this way they included 2 screw mounting points that are securely bedded in the stock.

Then Mountain Tactical stepped in and thought they could use those mounting points and they did. Using the existing mounting points for a T3X beaver tail forend you simple remove the existing bolt and sling stud, place the rail mounting holes inline with the stock holes and install the supplied hardware. Ensure the hardware is snug and will not rattle or some loose.

Now just like that you have a Tikka T3X/T1X with an Arca-Swiss rail along the forend. Use it for shooting from tripods or bipods whatever you want cause you can quickly detach and shoot of hand if need be.

The rail measures 9″ long and 1.5″ wide. Mountain Tactical advertises the rail as weighing 2.5oz and after measuring at home I can confirm it weighs 2.5oz. Its a great addition for any Tikka rifle. I have one on my both my Tikka rifles. (Paid for out of my pocket).

The only downside I can say about these is the conversion rate from CAD to USD isnt the best so its not the cheapest option and expect to wait a long time if you order through a dealer.
